You will have to complete all the tasks that are written on the back
After you have gotten signed off on all of those tasks then you will need to get tested by your Platoon Sergeant, then your First Sergeant, then your Company Commanders, and finally the instructor
For this test all you will need to do is stand either at attention or at ease, and repeat their rank back to them as well as the question and its answer: for example, if the question is being asked by your First Sergeant and the question is “What is the rank of One stripe up?”, you would respond with “First Sergeant, the rank of One stripe up is Private”
You will also need a concurrence form from your teachers saying that you at least have a 75% in each class and you have a decent moral system
(White Worksheet) Finally!!! It’s the last worksheet for the entire program it’s time to get to Sergeant First Class!
The first item again for this worksheet is to recertify your knowledge that you have gathered in the previous worksheets (which you will do when being tested by your Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Company Commander, and instructor)
Next is to attend two BN activities which you will already have done since you needed it to get promoted to both Sergeant and Staff Sergeant, but if you need another recommendation the, the easiest activity to do is Keep Our Campus Clean after school for one hour on Fridays
The next item that is in the way of your promotion is to complete 15 hours of community service, this can come from anywhere from your own personal community service or the opportunities that JROTC gives you like the Battalion wide project or your company one
Now you just have to participate on a JROTC team or an extra-curricular activity, this is relatively easy because it you wanted to join a team nut never had a reason to do it, this is your reason
Alright, for the last worksheet you had to assist in one subordinate’s promotion now just do it again for a different person or the same person for a different rank
Here is the fun part of the promotion you have to compete in a NCO board, all you have to do is convince your chain of command to send you to one of the monthly boards
HOWEVER, if this does not fit your schedule, or there are no more boards being conducted then you can talk to Colonel about waiving this so that you can get promoted, but you will need a very good reason why you cannot attend a board if they are still being hosted
So to become a Sergeant you have to march a squad, for promotion to Staff Sergeant you had to correctly march a platoon, now you have to correctly march a company, this is probably the easiest one since all you have to do is wait for Friday and then ask your First Sergeant to march the company down to the sports fields
To correctly preform a colorguard you will do the same thing as learning to march a squad except for colorguard instead, all you have to do is attend a colorguard practice, held at the same time as drill and ask to be taught to get promoted
Next you have to prepare and teach a class, all you have to do is go up to your company chain of command and ask to teach a class and they will give you a time and date and you can do just that and get promoted
I would highly recommend that you go over the material before you try to teach it to make the teaching process go smoother
Then just get your forms turned in and you can get promoted
